Orange glazed lamb strips
Orange glazed lamb strips is a sweet, tangy dish which goes well with steamed rice. The star anise added at every step adds a punch to the sweet tangy lamb dish. Lamb although high in saturated fat, its also a very ood source of protein with all 8 essential amino acids. Its also a good source of zinc and selenium.

Preparation
- For Sauce:
- Heat oil in a pan, add onion and one spicy red chilli.
- Break up some star anise and add it.
- After its flavours are released add 4 cups of orange juice.
- Take a 2inch iner piece, split it, smash it a little and add to mixture.
- Squeeze some fresh orange juice into the sauce.
- Let it simmer for some time and then strain the sauce.
- To the strained sauce add some sugar, powdered star anise and simmer until its reduced to a slightly thick sauce.
- Add butter and orange zest to it, to give it a lazed look.
- For fried lamb strips:
- Mix together cornflour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and star anise powder.
- Coat the lamb strips in this and deep fry them.
- Remove excess oil by placing fried pieces on a tissue paper.
- In the serving bowl, place the lamb strips, add the glazed sauce and toss well until well coated.
