Orange Cake

A crunchy cake with a variety of nuts and the refreshing taste of orange.

Preparation

Cook Time: 40 mins
  1. In a blender, blend orange peel, orange juice, 1/3 cup raisins and the walnuts. Keep this aside.
  2. Beat the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking soda, eggs, milk, salt and butter. Once done, stir in the orange-raisin mixture.
  3. Put this in a baking pan at about 350F and bake for about 35-40 minutes.
  4. Drizzle 1/3 cup of orange over warm cake.
  5. In a bowl mix the 20 gms (1/3 cup) sugar and cinnamon and the almonds and sprinkle it over the cake.
  6. Cool cake completely before serving (about 1 hour).
