Broccoli in butter sauce

Its an appealing dish with our nutritious green flower, broccoli which is known to be one of the richest sources of calcium and it is also known for its vitamin C content.

Preparation

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
  1. Cut broccoli into medium sized florets.
  2. Boil broccoli in water with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar until just done.
  3. Plunge boiled broccoli in cold water and keep aside.
  4. Heat butter in a pan, add sliced onion, garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the seasoning cube and maida, sauté for a minute.
  6. Add milk, 3/4cup water and keep stirring on low flame.
  7. Add in broccoli,coriander leaves, mustard paste, pepper and salt.
  8. Keep stirring until sauce thickens.
  9. Add cream after removing from flame.
